Persons whose ancestors, up to a great-grandparent, held Lithuanian citizenship before 1940, or were born and lived in Lithuania before 1940. This right to restore citizenship is permanent, regardless of country of residence.

Persons who can confirm the Lithuanian nationality of an ancestor up to a grandparent.

If you hold a certificate of Lithuanian origin.

Origin is confirmed by a birth certificate, marriage certificate or passport indicating the ancestor’s Lithuanian nationality, plus a self-identification declaration.
